As part of our ongoing review of membership procedures, we will be auditing organisational members’ monthly registrations across the three-month period of July - September. This will then occur on a monthly basis to maintain compliance with our policies and procedures.
As you know, all Heads of Styles (HoS) need to meet ongoing registration requirements. That is, you have an obligation to ensure that all students and instructors of the karate club/s under your control are registered members of Karate Australia. This applies to all new students after their 14-day trial period and that all students and instructors renew their membership each year.
Please ensure that you take the necessary steps to complete the registration process for all your members. Again, once the 14-day trial period has expired, it is your responsibility to ensure the new student is registered with Karate Australia and that all students and instructors renew their membership each year. This is required to ensure the validity of your insurance.
Feedback on this issue from our Heads of Styles has been overwhelmingly in favour of doing everything possible to ensure the validity of the model. Again, the Board thanks you for your on-going support.
