An exciting opportunity now exists for an Appointed Director to join the Karate Australia Board to supplement the skills and diversity of the current Board and help shape the future of Sport Karate in Australia.

To support these priorities the Australian Karate Federation is committed to securing and maintaining a balanced, skilled and diverse Board of Directors to represent the Australian karate community and work strategically to assist with growth, sustainability and governance.

Having a diverse Board composition assists with making informed decisions and provision of a better sporting environment for the community.
In accordance with the Constitution, the Australian Karate Federation is seeking interest from experienced individuals to fill one (1) Appointed Director position in the area of strategic planning and governance to oversee and lead the development of the Australian Karate Federation Strategic Plan. Given the importance of this project, we are looking for prior Board Experience.  A background in sports administration and governance will be highly valued.

Applicants must understand the skills required to undertake a Board Director position and positively contribute to the organisation.

Term: 3 years (with annual review)

Remuneration: Volunteer Position

All Directors will be required to complete a range of compliance courses including those related to the National Integrity Framework, the Australian Sports Commission Governance modules and any other relevant compliance requirements.
