The VKL - Shotokan Karate Cup will be held on Sunday 21st March at Aqualink Box Hill.
WKF/AKF rules do apply with some modifications in the development divisions.
PLEASE NOTE due to our current climate there will be some changes.
- Competitors and parents can only enter the stadium when marshalled into the stadium.
- They must exit the stadium when their division is completed
- For this reason, there is NO spectator admission
- For referees, table officials, coaches and volunteers, lunch will be provided with strict catering procedures that will be applied
- Tournament organisers will NOT provide any protective equipment for development divisions.
- Only one colour WKF/AKF hand mitts & shin/insteps are needed for developments divisions (ie: red or blue)
- Body protectors are compulsory don't have to be WKF/AKF approved but MUST be similar (for development division only)
- Head guards (13 years & under) don't have to be WKF/AKF approved but MUST be similar (for development division only)
- All Elite divisions must have all WKF/AKF protective equipment and both colours
- Flag system will apply for all Elite & Development kata divisions
- Tournament entry fee is $80 first event plus $10 any additional event
