2022 Oceania Karate Championship and Cup

The Board of the Australian Karate Federation and the National Coaches Committee proudly announce and would like to congratulate the athletes who have been selected to represent Australia at the 2022 Oceania Karate Championship and Cup.

2022 AKF National Championship

The AKF is happy to announce that 2022 AKF National Championships will be held in Rockhampton, Queensland 5-7 August 2022

2022 Call for Director Nominations

Applications are currently being sought by the Company from suitably qualified and eligible individuals who wish to be considered for election as a Director to the Board of the Company.

48th AKF National Championships 5-7 August 2022

The Australian Karate Federation (AKF) is pleased to announce that the 48th National Championships will be held on 5-7 August 2022. The event was first offered to Karate Victoria (based on previous arrangements) but unfortunately no suitable venue was available. As such, the event will be hosted by either the Queensland Karate Association or the NSW Karate Federation, pending suitable venue availability. This will be confirmed in the coming week.

2021 National Championship

Due to the evolving challenges of the Delta strain, the AKF in consultation with our State Federations has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 National Championships.

Good Luck - Paris 2021

The AKF wishes good luck to the 7 Aussie athletes that will be competing in Paris over the weekend.

2021 National Squad Registration

Given the significant disruption to our 2020 program, all 2020 National Squad memberships will automatically be extended 12 months to expire 31 December 2021, at no cost. The AKF will also be accepting new 2021 memberships at a significantly discounted fee of $155.

2021 Anti-Doping Policy

The Australian karate Federation has recently approved it’s 2021 Anti-Doping Policy which comes into effect on 1 January 2021.
